Key national officers of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are participating in the ongoing three-day national workshop organised by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Lagos.
The workshop, themed “The Regulations and Guidelines for Political Parties, 2026 and the Political Party Finance Reporting and Audit Systems (PFRAS)”, commenced on Monday at the BON Hotel Ikeja Residence and will end on May 14, 2026.
The event has drawn national chairmen and selected national officers from the 22 registered political parties in Nigeria to deliberate on issues bordering on political party administration, financial accountability, regulatory compliance, and electoral governance.
Representing the PDP at the workshop are the party’s National Secretary, Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu; National Organizing Secretary, Umar Bature; and Deputy National Financial Secretary, Grema Kyari.
The delegation is attending the workshop under the leadership of the PDP National Chairman, Abdulrahman Mohammed Takushara.
According to the party, the participation of its officials underscores the PDP’s commitment to strengthening internal democracy, promoting transparency in party finance management, and ensuring compliance with electoral regulations and global best practices in political party administration.
The workshop is expected to equip political parties with updated regulatory frameworks and financial reporting procedures ahead of future electoral activities in the country.
