As more reactions continue to trail the sacking of the embattled Labour Party governorship aspirant, Chijioke Edeoga by a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, Pastor Chris Onunekwu of the Pathway Gospel Ministry has revealed that Edeoga is not the one anointed by God to be the next governor of Enugu State in 2023.

The revelation was contained in a message delivered by the pastor, Sunday morning during the church service in Enugu. Pastor Chris while addressing his congregation stated that "from the onset, God had revealed to me those who are going to occupy various political offices in 2023, and the name and face of Chijioke Edeoga did not appear anywhere."

Chris who told his congregation during church sermon that "Edeoga's hand are not clean," further clarified that "the issue of who is going to be the next Governor of Enugu State was clearly revealed to me long ago by the most high. Peter Mbah has been ordained by God in the spiritual realm to be the next Governor of Enugu State, and anyone contesting governorship election against him will only be wasting his or her time."

According to the pastor who is known for unfeigned prophecies, "the court ruling that sacked Edeoga is one of the many signs that proves he's not the chosen one," the clergyman pointed out. He further emphasized that "God is about to turn things around in Enugu State and has anointed a special agent in the person of Peter Ndubuisi Mbah to come and take away the suffering of his people by rebuilding Enugu State," Onunekwu concluded.

A member of the church, Hillary Magbo who spoke to AnchorNews reporter at the end of the church service concurred with the message of Pastor Onunekwu, stressing that "Chijioke Edeoga is not competent to provide credible leadership anywhere. Apart from being selfish and incapacitated, Edeoga is corrupt, and God is about to expose his evil deeds in no distant time," he said.

Recall that prior to the high court judgment, series of negative reports against Chijioke Edeoga emerged, ranging from allegation of incompetence, #2bn Enugu LGA magazine scam, mismanagement of Isi Uzo LGA fund, homosexuality among others.

Apart from countless allegations against him, Edeoga's performance at the Enugu Business Community Town Hall meeting organized by Enugu Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, ECCIMA in collaboration with Enugu Coalition of Business and Professional Association, ECOBPA was adjudged by many media reporters and notable stakeholders as being incoherent, awful and falling far below the standard expected of a governorship aspirant.

According to a revered political analysts, Stanley Nwafor, who spoke to newsmen recently "Edeoga's poor performance at the ECCIMA Town Hall meeting held recently in Enugu only shows that he is both intellectually and academically deficient. Edeoga, having little to say about his plan for Enugu State as a guber aspirant, practically deviated from the topic of discussion and settled for throwing tantrums on the People's Democratic Party, PDP's candidate, Dr. Peter Mbah who had earlier wowed his audience while dissecting his manifesto on the same stage few days before Edeoga took his turn. 

"One may not be wrong to conclude that Edeoga is not in the 2023 governorship race, but only playing to the gallery or using the opportunity to extort money from unsuspecting persons as some hungry politicians do".
