A civil society group, New Nigeria Transparency Initiative, NNTI, has uncovered the renting of a group by the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and the Enugu opposition to wage media war against the governor-elect of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Mbah, over the NYSC discharge certificate controversy.

NNTI alleged that the “paid agents” were put together under the auspices of “CSOs Joint Task Force”, which it said would commence operations with a press conference at a hotel located at Utako District in Abuja, Monday afternoon.

It said it was part of the desperate moves to force Mbah to withdraw the N20 Billion lawsuit instituted against the agency and its Director of Corps Mobilisation, Ibrahim Muhammad, for conspiracy, deceit, and willful misrepresentation of facts about his NYSC discharge certificate.
