Over the years, Nigerian youths were misled by some unscrupulous species of the ruling class who use the slogan, "Youths are the leaders of tomorrow" to hoodwink young people into believing that their future is far fetched. Attempts made by the youths to assume thier rightful position in the leadership of the nation were mostly greeted by the same slogan, "...leaders of tomorrow", which invariably made them think that their turn is yet to come, even as they get older by day.

In Nigeria, the productive youthful age, which conventionally begins at 18 through 40 years has been manipulatively extended to 70 years by the same crop of glutinous politicians whose selfish interests have continued to push them to remain perpetually in power. Surprisingly, the same group of power mongers mostly started their political careers in their 20s and still remain in power today after many decades unproductive rulership. The worst is that out of selfish desires, these old politicians are only interested in enriching themselves and members of their family from our common wealth. They have continued to rule Nigeria with reckless abandon of the interest of the masses.

Youths of today, some of who are already in their 40s have been tricked to believing that their future is still ahead. They wake up each day expecting to embrace their time, only to be greeted by the same slogan, "...leaders of tomorrow", as if tomorrow is eternal or unattainable. The jinx lasted for a long time until God decided to have mercy on the younger generation and suddenly sent a Messiah in the person of Peter Mbah to break the yoke of deceit that stagnated the youths for donkey years.

Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah who is the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP guber candidate in Enugu State came with a special message of hope for the youths of Enugu State, who's future and destiny have been ravaged by inconsiderate political cabals. To the glory of God, the dreams of the victimized youths who were ab-initio bamboozled by some selfish leaders are about to be rekindled by the emergence of Mbah.

"Tomorrow Is Here" as declared by the PDP guber candidate is not just a slogan, but more like a mission statement. It signifies the arrival of a systematic plan to liberate youths from the bondage of deceit. It is a wake up call to give the young generation who are of productive age a sense of responsibility. It means that Peter Mbah is coming to hand over leadership to the youths proper.

It is not in doubt that Mbah has penchant for making the seemingly impossible situation to be possible. He has distinguished himself in the private sector by making such a monumental investment in Pinnacle Oil & Gas Ltd., an oil company he founded, nurtured from the incubation stage and built to become one of the largest oil & gas industries in Africa today.

Achieving such a gigantic project require uncommon abilities. Mbah was able to make such remarkable breakthrough in the oil and gas industry due to his impeccable character, laced with his good track record of honesty and sincerity, with which he was able to convince his business partners, mostly foreigners and commercial banks to invest in the noble venture. Today, we have a multinational oil and gas industry proudly own by a worthy son of Enugu State. This is a fit that deserves to be celebrated.

The emergence of Dr. Peter Mbah as the PDP guber candidate in Enugu State is a sign that God has ordained him to be the next governor so that he can replicate the Pinnacle miracle in Enugu State by growing the economy of the State exponentially into a robust economy of $30bn from the current $4bn. Looking at Mbah's manifesto, a.k.a social contract, it is crystal clear that majority of his action plans are geared towards youth development, poverty eradication and employment generation. A popular saying has it that "an idle brain is the devil's workshop". Under Dr. Peter Mbah's administration, youths who are of working age will have abundant jobs and sources of income that will be enough to distract them from social vices.

With the pleasant reality on ground, the youths of Enugu State are therefore expected to play a vital role of owning the Peter Mbah governorship project and ensuring that he is successfully elected; every right thinking youth will not think twice before embracing the candidacy of Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah. It is time to take back our country and state from elder statesmen who have exhausted their productive age and are no longer in tune with modern reality.
