Our attention has been drawn to yet another psychotic outbursts of one Ugochukwu Agballah, a controversial, mentally unstable, self-acclaimed Enugu State chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) while on a live programme on Urban Radio 94.5 FM, Enugu.

Ugochukwu Agballah is notorious for compulsive garrulity and guttural diarrhea, which have seen him spew erratic tirades and outlandish accusations against innocent citizens without any shred of evidence.

Each time this psychiatric case struts the public space, his voluble hallucinations and irrational diatribes leave the sensibilities of all descent listeners violated. Some time ago, this same alsatian on the loose claimed to be in possession of tons of incriminating documents against the governorship frontrunner, Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah which once released to the public, he ranted to no end, would sound the death knell of Dr. Mbah’s sure-footed march to the Lion Building.

While his gullible listeners waited with bated breath for Ugochukwu Agballah to do as he vowed, he conveniently went tongue-tied and soon directed his bilious rage against respected leaders of his own party.

It beggars belief that Ugochukwu Agballah, a dull-witted lawyer, if indeed he is a legal practitioner, rather than approach the court with his supposed disqualifying evidence against Dr Peter Mbah, continues to play to the gallery in piteous exultation of buffoonery. The cliché that an empty vessel makes the loudest noise has never been so fitting of a certified rabble rouser.

How does one explain someone that obsesses about a governorship candidate that hardly notices his existence? Except that he is nothing but a narcissistic character, an attention-seeking twerp that must throw juvenile tantrums to get noticed.

Ugochukwu Agballah is again on a wild goose chase of some grand political illusion. We call on Ndị Enugu to continue to ignore the familiar antics of a serial loser who has never won any election all his tarnished political life. His name indeed is synonymous with electoral defeats and 2023 will not be an exception. Ugochukwu Agballah’s place, as rightly insisted by many well-meaning citizens, belongs to a mental health home or a psychiatric hospital for immediate and continuous rehabilitation from suspected drug-induced lunacy.

The unvarnished truth remains that Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah has never been indicted by any court anywhere, let alone entering any plea bargain. Also, he has no criminal case pending in any court. Those who claim otherwise must tender the compelling, inconvertible evidence to such effect.

Those who lend Ugochukwu Agballah the platforms to malign and defame respectable citizens in the name of politics should be reminded that they bear vicarious responsibility for defamation and character assassination of innocent and unblemished citizens.
