ENUGU - The Enugu State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Rt. Hon. USA Igwesi, has inaugurated coordinators for the state’s 17 local government areas, charging them to intensify grassroots mobilisation in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reelection bid in 2027.
The inauguration took place on Thursday, October 8, 2026, during a strategic meeting in Enugu aimed at strengthening the organisation’s structure and activating the Renewed Hope Agenda across the state.
Addressing the coordinators, Igwesi emphasised the need for diligent mobilisation, citing what he described as the positive impact of the Tinubu administration in Enugu State.
“Enugu State is experiencing the good work of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and that is why we all need to work diligently in mobilizing for his reelection come 2027,” Igwesi said.
The meeting identified four key priorities for the organisation: inaugurating the 17 local government coordinators; activating the Renewed Hope Agenda through the appointment of ward coordinators; strengthening collaboration with party structures at all levels and engaging critical stakeholders across Enugu State; and disseminating information about President Tinubu’s achievements in the Southeast zone.
These objectives are intended to establish a coordinated grassroots network, strengthen engagement with political stakeholders and communicate the administration’s record as the 2027 general elections approach.
Igwesi, a former Majority Leader of the Enugu State House of Assembly and former member of the House of Representatives representing Nkanu East/Nkanu West Federal Constituency, also serves as Chairman of the New Enugu Smart City Development Authority.
The 17 inaugurated local government coordinators are Hon. Dr. Odi Joseph (Aninri); Hon. Egbo Nnagozie Solomon (Awgu); Hon. Barr. Odo Azubuike Robert (Isi-Uzo); Hon. Barr. Ani Chideibere Barry Chudi (Nkanu West); Hon. Agu Kenneth Tochukwu (Enugu North); Hon. Uba Uthman Onah (Igbo-Eze South); Hon. Odo Brandan Ogechi (Udenu); and Barr. Onwusi Godwin Nnaemezie (Udi).
