The social media hirelings of the Enugu Labour Party governorship candidate, Mr.. Chijioke Edeoga and Edeoga himself have shown that they lack media expertise, strategy and savvy.

Just like what Edeoga did on social media alongside his mischievous media team before the Enugu Peoples Democratic Party (PDP ) governorship primary which he lost to Mr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah before jumping to Labour Party, Edeoga and his media plebeians have continued to sit in the comfort of their homes to conjure, spew and peddle falsehoods and propagate campaign of calumny against opponents,  people, institutions and churches even after losing the governorship election, just to mislead the unsuspecting publics.

This is even when nobody is taking them seriously, reading or believing them. They are so emotional, embittered and downcasted by Edeoga's loss in the election. They had wished and hoped that Edeoga won the election by any means, having been assured of victory by Edeoga's godfather, an  ex-minister from Nsukka before the election.That is why they have been angrily doing everything possible to discredit Mbah's victory in the election, by engineering public incitement, concocting and purveying blatant lies.

In Edeoga's social media  team of fake news fabricators and purveyors are frustrated and failed journalists llike himself, include Aniebo Nwamu, Francis Edeh, Shepherd Iyoku, John Agbo, Kelvin Orji, Ifeanyi Ogenyi, Don Eze and others.
These set of people were shown the way out of the mainstream media practice some year ago for unethical practices and failure to live up to expectations of their employers. 

With the evolution of the social media, they saw an unregulated platform to fabricate and peddle propaganda at will. That was why instead of marketing their candidate and paymaster, Edeoga and his never-seen or prepared manifesto, before elections, these bunch of  hired labourers' social media bandits were busy fabricating and peddling blatant and known lies against Mr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah and other PDP candidates, thinking they were doing good media stunts for Edeoga.

This negative media strategy contributed immensely to Edeoga's exposure and failure in the governorship election. So worrisome and surprising is that Edeoga and his social media fabricators and peddlers of fake news have continued with the same failed approach after losing governorship election. Latest of their social media fabrications trending on social media platforms is one useless statement they attributed to members of one amorphous religious group  called Network of Evangelical Bishops of Nigeria, Southeast zone condemning the victory of Mr. Mbah in the gubernatorial election and declaring that the election was won by Edeoga. 

Perusing through the content of the statement, it is very lucid that it was fabricated by Edeoga's social media bandits, in their continued desperate bid to see if they can discredit Mr. Mbah's victory in the election. Before this false statement that was attributed to faceless Bishops, Edeoga and his  social media minnows  have fabricated all sorts of libelous stories and articles against INEC staff particularly Mr. Festus Okoye, security personnel, judicial officers, PDP candidates and Enugu  State top government officials. They were the ones behind the fake news that Mbah will not be given Certificate of Return by INEC, which never happened.

They maligned and blackmailed Catholic Bishops and priests prior to the just concluded general elections, accusing them falsely of being compromised, just  because they didn't openly support or campaign for Labour Party governorship  candidate, Mr. Edeoga. They even accused the Catholic churches in the state of being  compromised and not supporting Mr. Edeoga,  because he is an Anglican. That is the extent Edeoga's social media blackmailers can weaponize even religion in desperate quest to grab power by all means.They are jobless, desperate and despondent. They were promised appointments and contracts that will not be possible with Edeoga's loss. They are finding it difficult to come to term with Edeoga's defeat, because it has shattered their hopes and dreams. 

Edeoga and his godfather, ex-minister, John Nnia Nwodo Jr have continued to falsely assure these social media e-rats again of Edeoga's victory at tribunal with the lies that the ex-minister's sister married to a Delta man and her husband, Chief Epiphany Azinge, SAN, are seasoned lawyers with rich contacts in the judiciary. Investigations have revealed that it was the ex-Minister that instructed Edeoga's social media e-rats after the loss of the election to    increase their tempo of fabricating and peddling of lies to discredit the outcome of the election, ambush or possibly sway the judiciary to do their biddings at the tribunal. 

Certainly, in the days ahead, Edeoga and his social media blackmailers will fabricate and spread more fake news against the election, INEC staff, judicial officers and Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.
