Frontline businessman, philanthropist and governorship aspirant in Enugu State, Samson Chukwu Nnamani, has commended key leaders of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP for what he described as their exceptional commitment, sacrifice and strategic leadership in rebuilding and stabilizing the party across the country.

Nnamani, popularly known as ODERA, gave the commendation while speaking on the state of the PDP shortly after officially obtaining the party’s Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms for the 2027 governorship election in Enugu State.

He particularly praised the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory and widely acknowledged national leader of the PDP, Nyesom Wike, describing him as “one of the strongest pillars of the party and a courageous political leader whose resilience, capacity and commitment have continued to sustain and reposition the PDP at critical moments.”

According to Nnamani, Wike’s leadership style, political courage and unwavering dedication to the survival of the PDP have made him one of the most influential figures in contemporary Nigerian politics.

“His Excellency, Nyesom Wike, remains one of the most courageous and result-oriented leaders the PDP has produced. At a time many people doubted the future of the party, he stood firm, defended the integrity of the PDP and continued working tirelessly to ensure the party remains a strong and viable platform for Nigerians,” he stated.

Nnamani further noted that Wike’s contributions to governance, infrastructure development and party administration have become reference points in Nigeria’s democratic journey, adding that younger politicians and aspiring leaders have much to learn from his political experience and administrative discipline.

The Enugu governorship aspirant also applauded the National Chairman of the PDP, Abdulrahman Mohammed, for providing what he described as calm, focused and stabilizing leadership at the national level.

He said the party under Abdulrahman Mohammed has continued to witness renewed coordination and internal strengthening despite political challenges confronting opposition parties in the country.

According to him, “The National Chairman has demonstrated maturity, inclusiveness and a deep understanding of party administration. His efforts toward strengthening internal democracy, reconciliation and organizational stability deserve commendation.”

Nnamani equally reserved special praise for the National Secretary of the PDP, Samuel Anyanwu, whom he described as a loyal party man and tireless political mobilizer committed to preserving the unity and relevance of the PDP nationwide.

He noted that Senator Anyanwu has continued to make enormous sacrifices behind the scenes to ensure the smooth operation of the party despite difficult political circumstances.

“Senator Samuel Anyanwu has shown uncommon dedication and loyalty to the PDP. His commitment to the stability of the party remains admirable. He has continued to work day and night in ensuring that the PDP remains united, functional and prepared for future electoral victories,” Nnamani said.

The philanthropist-politician further used the opportunity to pay glowing tribute to elder statesman and former governor of old Anambra State, Jim Nwobodo, describing him as a father figure whose wisdom, guidance and stabilizing influence have continued to strengthen the PDP in the South-East region.

According to him, Chief Jim Nwobodo remains one of the most respected political leaders in Nigeria because of his experience, statesmanship and enduring commitment to peace, unity and political development.

“Chief Jim Nwobodo is a political institution on his own. His fatherly role in ensuring that the PDP remains strong and united in Enugu State and beyond cannot be overemphasized. He continues to offer wisdom, direction and encouragement to younger political actors across the South-East,” he said.

Nnamani added that the contributions of the elder statesman toward mentoring emerging leaders and promoting political harmony have helped sustain confidence within the party structure in the region.

Beyond his political remarks, ODERA reiterated his commitment to pursuing people-oriented leadership and inclusive governance if elected governor of Enugu State in 2027.

He said his vision is anchored on economic revitalization, youth empowerment, infrastructure renewal, institutional reforms and improved welfare for ordinary citizens.

Widely known for his humanitarian interventions through the Odera Helping Hand Foundation, Nnamani has built a strong grassroots reputation as a philanthropist with deep compassion for the less privileged.

Over the years, the foundation has supported widows, students, unemployed youths and vulnerable families through scholarships, empowerment programmes and welfare interventions across communities.

Political observers believe his growing popularity within the PDP, combined with his business experience, philanthropic record and longstanding involvement in party rebuilding efforts, may position him as a formidable force in the 2027 governorship race in Enugu State.
