Itel unveils new S23 Smartphone in Enugu

Itel global smartphone brand unveiled its newest itel S23 Smartphone to students at the Institute of Management and Technology, (IMT) Enugu.

The brand was unveiled during a Campus Concert which featured popular music star, Ladipo Eso (Ladipoe), organized by itel in partnership with MTN at the International Conference Centre, IMT.

The concert featured several competitions, with many students winning different gifts, including cash prizes, Power Banks, itel S23 Smartphones, bags and other branded items. 

Speaking during the concert, National BTL Marketing Manager itel Nigeria, Taiwo Mojisola, said that it was aimed at entertaining the students and also creating awareness for itel S23 and other accessories.

“Students need certain features in their smartphones but they can’t afford them and this is why we have launched the smartphone to enable our users to enjoy a better life without having to spend too much,” she said.

She said that the Itel brand has put in the work in terms of creating awareness and that is why it has most students using the brand, adding that while the 8GB RAM goes for N76, 200, the 4GB RAM goes for N66,200.

The device features a 6.6-inch HD+ LCD with a 90 Hz refresh rate and a water drop notch cutout. It also has a Unisoc T606 chipset and 8GB and 4GB RAM and 128 ROM, a 50MP main cam with an f/1.6 aperture alongside an unspecified auxiliary camera. It has a battery capacity of 5,000mAh.

The grand winner, Edeh Chukwuzaramaekpere Gabriel said in an interview that the victory at the dancing came to him by surprise, adding he have God all the glory.

Gabriel, a Higher National Diploma (HND) one student smiled home with one hundred thousand naira (N100,000.00)

Also speaking, the President of the IMT Students’ Union Government (SUG) Emmanuel Nwodo commended Itel for moving its train to campus, stressing that it coincided with 50th anniversary of IMT.
