Investigations have revealed that ahead of today's commencement of Election Petitions Tribunal Sitting in Enugu State, the Labour Party governorship candidate, Mr. Chijioke Edeoga has mobilised people and perfected plans with his supporters, party leaders and hired miscreants to storm the venue of tribunal sitting at the State High Court, Independence Layout, Enugu and disrupt proceedings with protests, placards, noise making and call for the tribunal to declare Mr Edeoga winner of the election.

One of the Enugu Labour Party leaders, who was at the meeting at Edeoga's residence at Golf Estate in Enugu, where the plan was hatched, disclosed that Mr. Edeoga, who presided over the meeting told them pointblank that if they succeeded in disrupting the sitting and proceedings, the tribunal would be relocated to Abuja, where he (Edeoga) and his sponsors can easily bribe the members to get favourable judgment.

"Mr. Edeoga also instructed the party's supporters and hired thugs that apart from displaying their placards with the bold inscriptions such as "Declare Chijioke Edeoga Winner of the Election", "Edeoga Won the Enugu Guber Election", "Nkanu East LGA Result Was Manipulated in favour of PDP", "Restore Edeoga's Stolen Mandate", "INEC Sold Out to Mbah & PDP", and others at the sitting venue, they should cry, shed tears, roll on the ground, strip naked and perform other dramatic acts to evoke the sympathy of the tribunal judges and convince them that Enugu people are yearning for the declaration of Edeoga as the winner of the March 18 governorship polls.

"Barrister Edeoga complained bitterly about lack of financial support from people especially party members, stressing that huge funds are needed to finance the petition at the tribunal. He complained further that those who have donated didn't donate enough. He called the names of donors for what he called his "Mandate Rccovery Project" and urged those who are yet to donate to do so, assuring them of victory at the tribunal.

"Some of the party members and leaders present at the meeting, who openly expressed their reservations and misgivings with the undemocratic approaches Edeoga has been adopting in pursuing his matter were shouted down by Edeoga, who told them that he is far more experienced in politics than them", the Labour party leader said.

When contacted, a security personnel in the state, who pleaded anonymity said that they're aware of the meeting held at Bar. Edeoga's house in Enugu, where they planned how they will stage protest and disrupt sitting at the tribunal today.

"We are keeping tab on them and have perfected security arrangements to ensure that their plans are nip in the bud," the security personnel disclosed.
