It's a truism that Political participation requires support from the populace and as such, any thing short of that can lead one into Political coma.

Also, One needs not to be reminded that one of the beauties of democracy is built on opposition. While we appreciate the place of opposition in Enugu state, it has become worrying that even the supposed opposition members were all part and parcel of the incumbent administration but only got their voice of opposition after they had lost handsomely during the people's democratic party primaries held in the State.

While some had pledged their support to Dr. Peter Mbah, immediately he won the guber primary, some elements, who had even called their supporters and urged them to embrace the Dr. Peter mbah's candidacy has not only reneged on their promise but have gone all out to exhibit frustration in the name of joining opposition Party.

One of the major tools, employed by opposition is constructive criticism and appeal to the populace but in contrary, the factional candidate of the labour party, Chijioke Edeoga, whose drive to the Labour party was only built on tribal sentiment of his people, has not only failed to unveil his plans for the state but he has also employed few disgruntled element to flood all platforms with fallacious comments, built on bitterness, jealousy, anger and frustration.

While Dr Peter Mbah has been touring all the nooks and crannies of the state, engaging the people of the state and informing them of his plans for the state, the factional Labour Party governorship candidate has not only shown his daftness in this regard, he has also channeled all his energies to attacking a man whose rise to the top was built on dint of hard work and courage.

Therefore, as we continue to engage the people of Enugu State with regards to the upcoming guber election, the general public are hereby advised to shun candidates without a manifesto because we can't afford to rewind 21century to 19th century.
