PDP Begins Sale of Nomination Forms for 2025 Bye-Elections Across 12 States

Abuja, July 2, 2025 - The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has officially announced the commencement of the sale of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms for the forthcoming 2025 bye-elections across twelve states of the federation.

In a statement released on Tuesday, July 2, by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, the PDP’s National Working Committee (NWC) has approved a comprehensive timetable and schedule of activities to guide the nomination process for the scheduled bye-elections.

According to the release, the sale of forms is set to begin on Thursday, July 3, 2025, and will run until Thursday, July 10, 2025. All completed forms must be submitted on or before Friday, July 11, 2025.

The bye-elections will be held in the following constituencies across twelve states:

  • Adamawa State – Ganye State Constituency
  • Anambra State – Anambra South Senatorial District, Onitsha North State Constituency
  • Edo State – Edo Central Senatorial District, Ovia North East/South West Federal Constituency
  • Jigawa State – Batura/Garki Federal Constituency
  • Kaduna State – Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency, Zaria/Kawasaki and Basawa State Constituency
  • Kano State – Shanono/Bagwai State Constituency
  • Kogi State – Okura II State Constituency
  • Niger State – Munya State Constituency
  • Ogun State – Ikenne/Shagamu/Remo North Federal Constituency
  • Oyo State – Ibadan North Federal Constituency
  • Taraba State – Karim Lamido 1 State Constituency
  • Zamfara State – Kaura Namoda South State Constituency

The NWC called on all eligible and interested members of the party to obtain and submit their forms at the PDP National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Wuse Zone 5, Abuja.

The party leadership reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a transparent, credible, and inclusive nomination process, expressing confidence in its readiness to secure victory in the bye-elections.

"The NWC assures all Party leaders, critical stakeholders and teeming members of the PDP of a transparent and credible nomination exercise as we march to victory in the Bye-Elections," the statement concluded.
