The Appeal Court judgment, which today upheld the judgment of the Enugu State Governorship Election Tribunal judgment that had earlier upheld the election of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah in an appeal filed by Barr. Chijioke Edeoga of Labour Party is a continuous winning streak for Mbah, PDP stakeholders and Ndi Enugu that supported and voted for him in the election that  Barr. Edeoga and his cohorts have deployed all kinds of crude, desperate and diabolic tactics and measures to thwart, steal or overturn, to no avail.

It could be observed  that right from the PDP governorship primary which Barr. Edeoga lost to Mbah, accepted to work with him and for him, before being unpreparedly and hurriedly railroaded into Labour Party by his in-laws, the Nwodos before losing the election to Governor Mbah, Barr. Edeoga and his emotional supporters have done everything unthinkable and humanly possible, which include the unleashing of some arranged and compromised military personnel on the voters during election,  blackmailing, demonizing and intimidating the judiciary, defaming and castigating Governor Mbah, compromising the NYSC, hoodwinking, misleading and misinforming the general public, writing and sharing fabricated and fallacious articles, stories and propaganda, attempting to compromise the judges, extorting and ripping off people financially by telling them lies, giving them false hopes and promises and others to achieve victory, all without success.

Barr. Edeoga's victims in this his political shenanigans, exploitations, swindlings, and subterfuge are many, especially from Enugu North Senatorial zone, where Barr. Edeoga anchored his governorship project, with the delusion that the people of the zone would all vote for him to emerge victorious in the election.

Mbah's victory at the Appeal Court is a clear testament of God's hand in his emergence as Governor and an affirmation of the massive and unflinching support the majority of Enugu people gave to him in the election. With this Court of Appeal judgment, is it not time for Barr.Edeoga and his hirelings to surrender and support Governor Mbah, having seen that God gives power, power belongs to the people and he Edeoga has no evidence to upturn Governor Mbah's victory? It is, but such move appears belated, considering that Barr. Edeoga and his cohorts, especially his in- laws, the Nwodos have gone too far in their desperations, stepping on toes, defrauding and misleading of people, creating of avoidable enmity and bad blood in the state in desperate quest to disrupt the governorship zoning in the state at all cost and by all means.

Governor Mbah is humane and will be willing to welcome and forgive Barr. Edeoga, knowing full well that to err is human and to forgive is divine. After all, Governor Mbah extended the olive branch to Barr. Edeoga, immediately after the PDP governorship primary, which he accepted in good faith and even issued a public statement on it, before he was naively misled by his power mongering in-laws from Igbo-Etiti LGA to join Labour Party and contest against Mbah.

While it is an axiomatic fact that Barr. Edeoga is overqualified to contest for the governorship seat or any other political seat, it is hoped that Barr. Edeoga and his social media hirelings have learnt or will learn lessons from their futile political voyage, because anything short of this will mean endless political woes for them in the days ahead.
