A frontline aspirant for the Enugu North and South Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives, Chidiebere Aniagu, has reaffirmed his commitment to providing people-oriented representation that prioritises the welfare and aspirations of residents.

Aniagu made the pledge during an interaction with journalists in Enugu, where he outlined his vision for a responsive and impactful representation at the National Assembly. According to him, his aspiration is rooted in a deep passion for service and a determination to ensure that the voices of the people of Enugu North and South are effectively heard in the nation’s legislative arena.

The businessman and community advocate explained that his long-standing relationship with the constituency has given him a firsthand understanding of the challenges facing residents, ranging from unemployment and insecurity to limited economic opportunities.

Aniagu noted that having lived and conducted most of his business activities within the constituency, he is well positioned to appreciate the needs and expectations of the people. He added that this experience has shaped his resolve to pursue policies and programmes that will directly improve the quality of life for residents.

He said his vision for the constituency is anchored on uplifting the poor and vulnerable while creating opportunities that empower people to become self-reliant and economically productive members of society.

According to him, meaningful representation must focus on initiatives that support small businesses, expand educational opportunities for young people and strengthen community security.

Aniagu also stressed the need to create sustainable employment opportunities for youths, noting that young people constitute a significant and energetic segment of the constituency’s population.

“Many of our youths are talented and hardworking, but they need the right opportunities and support to thrive. My commitment is to champion programmes and partnerships that will unlock their potential and help them contribute meaningfully to society,” he said.

The aspirant further maintained that representation at the National Assembly should go beyond occupying a legislative seat, emphasising that elected officials must remain closely connected to the people they represent.

According to him, effective leadership requires continuous engagement with constituents in order to understand their needs and translate those concerns into practical legislative action.

“My aspiration is about service and improving the lives of our people. The constituents deserve a representative who understands their struggles and is willing to work tirelessly to address them,” Aniagu stated.

He added that his leadership philosophy is anchored on inclusiveness, transparency and grassroots participation, assuring residents that their opinions and ideas would form the foundation of his legislative agenda.

Aniagu expressed confidence that with committed leadership and well-designed policies, Enugu North and South Federal Constituency can experience accelerated development, improved infrastructure and better living standards for its people.

He also called on stakeholders and residents to remain actively involved in the democratic process, stressing that collective effort is essential in building a prosperous and inclusive constituency.

With a message centred on service, empowerment and community development, Aniagu said he remains determined to work with the people of Enugu North and South to deliver representation that truly reflects their hopes and aspirations.
