Today we celebrate the graduation of the first cohort of the Enugu Magic Labs Animation Training Program (EMAT), a powerful initiative delivered by the Enugu MSME & Startup Agency (Enugu SME Center) in partnership with Magic Lab Academy.
Over the past four months, these talented young creatives underwent an intensive technical training in 2D Illustration, 3D Motion Design, animation storytelling, and digital production, equipping them with globally competitive skills needed to thrive in the rapidly growing $390+ billion global animation and digital content industry.
This program is part of the bold vision of His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, who is intentionally building a future-ready digital workforce and creative economy in Enugu State.
“The future of our economy lies in the hands of digitally skilled young people. Our job as government is to create the platform for them to compete globally.”
— Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah
Through the leadership of the Enugu MSME & Startup Agency (Enugu SME Center), these graduates are not just leaving with certificates, they now have access to internship pipelines, freelance opportunities, studio collaborations, and global creative platforms to further their careers.
Enugu is not waiting for the future.
We are building it.
Applications are now open for EMAT Cohort 2, where even more Enugu residents will gain access to world-class animation and creative technology training.
If you are passionate about animation, design, storytelling, or digital creativity, this could be the opportunity that changes your future.
