P3G, NPF holds Security Summit for Youths in Enugu

A nongovernmental organization known as the Peace & Good Governance Group, P3G in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force, NPF Enugu State Command is set to hold a youth reorientation program tagged, "Youth Security Summit 2023".

According to a press statement by the Director General of the group, Monday Diamond Ani JP, the strategic program with the theme: "The Good Citizen" is scheduled for hold on 13th December, 2023 at The Base Event Center, Independence Layout, Enugu.

Diamond, who spoke to AnchorNews in Enugu, stressed that the upcoming program will involve "powerful lectures and interactive sessions". He called on youth organizations, religious bodies, civil society and pressure groups to attend the summit which is geared towards promoting a more peaceful, productive and secured society.

"Security is the major propeller of a nation's economy or development of any society, and if there is no effective security system, there will be no viable economy. Hence, security is often said to be everyone's business.

"In view of this, the Peace and Good Governance Group in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force Enugu State Command is set to organize a youth reorientation program tagged 'YOUTH SECURITY SUMMIT 2023'.

"The Youth Security Summit is timely and we have concluded plans with the Nigeria Police Force, Enugu State Command, through the Force Public Relations Officer, DSP Daniel Ndukwe to hold a powerful and interactive session with the youth constituency and other relevant bodies.

"The lecture segment of the program will have renowned Guest Lecturers, the Enugu State Commissioner of Police and other Security Chiefs in the State who will speak and interact with thousands of youths in the South East Region on the Topic: 'NIGERIA SECURITY SYSTEM; Youth Activism and its Implications on the  Peace and Security in a Changing Time'.

"Moreso, there will be a Panel Discussion to feature some eminent sons and daughters of Ndigbo to bare their minds on the possible solution for a lasting peace and security in the society" Diamond said.
