An Enugu base Think-Tank group known as the Way Forward Vanguard has congratulated Enugu State Governor-Elect, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah on his Victory during the governorship election held on 18th of March 2023.

In a congratulatory message made available to the press Tuesday morning, the group expressed satisfaction on the conduct of the governorship election and also called on the Governor-Elect to be steadfast and deliver on the mandate given to him as the people of Enugu State have done their part by electing him to be the next Governor of the state.

Addressing newsmen in Enugu, the convener of the Way Forward Vanguard, Engr. Buchi Nnaji expressed delight over the outcome of the governorship election in Enugu State. He noted that Mbah's victory represents the  will of the majority of Ndi Enugu.

"Joy has returned to Enugu State since Peter Mbah won the governorship election. The reason the excitement is not farfetched; the state is in dire need of a technocrat like Barr. Peter Mbah. Looking at the current economic quagmire bedeviling Nigeria in general, we need to change the status quo, and that is what the emergence of Mbah represents.

"I also want to commend the INEC for doing the needful by reviewing the contentious results from some local government areas as demanded by the Labour Party and consequently announcing the final result. Though, it was a tedious process that lasted for three days, but it further authenticated the final outcome that saw Peter Mbah becoming victorious. What this means is that there is no more reason for anyone to go to election tribunal or law court for redress because it has been overtaken by events," Nnaji said.
