A Fake News by Dons Eze

The attention of the Peter Mbah Alliance for Good Governance has been drawn to the fake news published by one Dons Eze in the People’s Voice blog via this link: https://peoplesvoice.ng/ugwuanyi-has-performed-creditably-ill-continue-where-he-stops-peter-mbah/ on November 3, 2022, and being circulated on some social media platforms.

The fake news by Dons Eze, publisher of the People’s Voice falsely and maliciously attributed certain statements to Dr. Peter Ndubuishi Mbah, Governorship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Enugu State as saying he would not construct new roads in Enugu urban centres, and that all roads would be constructed in Owo, the hometown of Dr. Peter Mbah.

The fake news, among other libelous contents, further falsely quoted Dr. Peter Mbah as saying his administration would not waste the state resources in establishing new industries as Enugu State does not need any.

Dons Eze, the notorious media goon and agadi-ekwe-nka attack dog of Mr Chijioke Edeoga, the embittered Labour Party factional guber candidate in Enugu State, went ahead and maliciously fabricated a quote to Dr. Peter Mbah as saying the Innonson CEO was regretting why he established industry in Enugu State whereas Peter Mbah established his business in Lagos State because of his one Nigeria mantra.

Alerted by our members over the blackmailing, defamatory and evil contents of the publication and the way Don Eze and his cohorts were circulating the fake news on different platforms, we decided to state, for the avoidance of doubt, as follows:

1. That the fake news, with the above subject matter, whether wholly or in parts, did not emanate from Dr. Peter Mbah, and he had absolutely nothing to do with it.

2. That at no time, whether in the past or in recent times, did Dr. Peter Mbah, Governorship Candidate of the PDP in Enugu State, receive any support group, or any coalition with the name; “Coalition of Market Women in Enugu” or any of it’s semblance in his Enugu residence where a purported Lady Vero Okite spoke, or made any appeal, or was on solidarity visit to Dr. Peter Mbah.

3. That Dr. Peter Mbah had never said anything about potholes in Enugu or anywhere in the state.

4. That Dr. Peter Mbah had never told any group, coalition or body or person(s) that he would not construct new roads in Enugu, or that it's only places like Owo that need new roads.

6. That Dr Peter Mbah, who is renowned for his philanthropy, public spiritedness and love for community service, is not the type that will wait until he becomes Governor before impacting positively on his community, as evidenced by his sole funding of the construction of 7 kilometers network of asphalt road in Owo some years ago. Quite unlike Chijioke Edeoga, who has nothing whatsoever to show for his 25 years of occupying top level Federal and State positions, except abandoned uncompleted projects, and shameless boast of having “graded” the road to Mgbuji while he ran Isi Uzo LGA as Executive Chairman for 2 years. 

7. That Dr. Peter Mbah had never told any group, or coalition that he would not waste the state resources in establishing new industries in Enugu or any other place in the state. Indeed the industrialization of Enugu State is one of the main priorities of his incoming administration, the roadmap of which is well enunciated in his Manifesto for Ndi Enugu. 

8. That Dr. Peter Mbah had never said or told any group or coalition or person(s) that Enugu or Coal City is not a commercial area, or that Innonson is regretting investing in Enugu State.

7. That Dr. Peter Mbah had never told any group or coalition or person(s) that he would teach the people of Enugu how to do business with political position.

We want to urge our supporters to keep calm and avoid being provoked by mischief makers because Dr. Peter Mbah is a man of peace and he has always stood for peace, politics without bitterness, and spirit of sportsmanship while all available legal remedies known to the Nigerian law are exhausted against the nitwitted slanderers.

It's on record that Dr. Peter Mbah, Governorship Candidate of the PDP is the first to present his highly rated manifesto in the state, and we want to state that the manifesto remains our guiding principle, path and contract with our overwhelming supporters and the good people of Enugu State.
