Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has announced an increase of 20% in the salaries of senior workers of Ebonyi State University and 10%. for junior workers.

The governor also announced reduction of the school fees in the university by 10%.

Nwifuru who made the pronouncement weekend, at the 12th-15th convocation ceremony of the university, also reminded the graduands that they have a role to play toward nation building.

He announced that all the first class graduands will get automatic employment in the state.

He urged the graduands to shun social vices such as corruption, ethnic bigotry, religious intolerance, violence and indiscipline anywhere they may find themselves, stressing that society looks at them as future leaders.

The Governor charged them to take full advantage of what they learned and all the activities to enrich themselves by putting it into vital use.
