Eminent dignitaries and representatives of Amechi Idodo communities in Nkanu East Local Government Area of Enugu State have promised to deliver bloc votes and continue to show unflinching support for the gubernatorial aspiration of the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Dr. Peter Mbah.

The group, which paid a solidarity visit to Dr. Mbah on Wednesday in Enugu under the aegis of Amechi-Idodo Clan Federated Union led by the traditional ruler of Ohuani Amechi-Idodo and Chairman, Nkanu East Traditional Rulers Council, Igwe Hyacinth Edeani, described the frontline guber candidate as a golden fish that cannot be hidden, especially in a time the country is in dire need of someone like him.

He lauded Dr. Mbah’s unprecedented achievements in the private sector where his company, Pinnacle Oil and Gas Limited is presently the market leader in the Nigeria’s downstream sub-sector of the economy.

He further appealed to him to bring his outstanding entrepreneurial and managerial skills to the rapid transformation of the state, stressing that Dr. Mbah has the leadership qualities to replicate what he did in Lagos State in Enugu State.

Showering encomiums on the ruling party’s candidate for accepting to vie for the position, the royal father said his people were happy with the decision and will continue to take ownership of the project by converting more electorate to their side.

“We came to tell you that we are proud of you. We came to show you our support and to tell you we are behind your candidacy. God has specially blessed Nigeria through what you’ve done in the private sector.

“There is no point coming to campaign in your home because it’s already intact for you. We have the confidence in your mission and we know our state is going to be great under your able leadership,” the first class traditional ruler added.

While noting that nobody had ever vied for the position of governor in the state from Nkanu East council area, the group said Dr. Mbah did not just come out for the job, but came out well-prepared for the task ahead.

The climax of the visit was the presentation of two branded Sienna vehicles to the PDP campaign organization as a show of support for the project.

Reacting to the support, the governorship hopeful said the gesture displayed by the group had shown that they’d already taken ownership of the governorship project.

While appreciating their solidarity, Dr. Mbah enjoined them not to rest on their oars but to continue to woo more voters outside their communities.

He further urged the people to keep spreading the message of hope and good news of the planned unprecedented development unexampled in the history of the state.

Dr. Mbah reminded them of the need to encourage eligible voters to collect their permanent voter’s cards before the Independent National Electoral Commission’s deadline.
