Contrary to insinuations in some quarters that he fought against political godfathers to found his own dynasty, the Chairman of, the Senate Committee on New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD), Dr. Chimaroke Nnamani, said the Ebeano political family in Enugu State was informed by the ‘Aladimma’ philosophy.
He spoke to his supporters, well-wishers and friends under the aegis of Ebeano Support Group (ESG) at his country home, Ojiagu, Agbani, Nkanu West Local Council of the state.
Nnamani, who served as governor of Enugu from 1999 to 2007, noted that there are six socio-economic challenges that serve as pillars upon which the ‘Aladimma’ philosophy of Ebeano rests.

“Ebeano policy, as governmental transformers and paradigm, underscores six areas, specifically, poverty eradication and national transformation, including restructuring, constitutional review through the sovereign conference of ethnic nationalities and policing.”
Nnamani remarked: “The sound, Ebeano, is satisfying like a chilled bottle of coke on a hot Savannah noon.”
He explained that Ebeano “connotes common good, equal founders and joiners, acculturated joint ownership, all on common ground, no high tables, no special canopy and no special services.”
According to him, Ebeano is a leveller of the sort, noting that the group’s mission is to make both men and women an all-inclusive body with the aim of improving the lives of all citizens.
“Ebeano seeks to empower the community through the people. As a mantra, it has uplifted many from obscurity to greatness, small names to big names, small addresses to big addresses, and it is transforming into a movement.”
Delighted over the success story of the political grouping in the last 23 years, the Fellow Of the American Council of Obstetrics and Gynecology (MD/FACOG), said: “Ebeano, as a political family of #Aladimma in #SouthEastNG, has given birth to primary, secondary, tertiary politicos; Senators, members of the House of Representatives, ministers, governors, appointees of federal and state party officials.
“Local Council Chairmen, supervisors, councillors, other political leaders, both in Enugu and the federation, including serving and ex-serving leaders.”
