The newly appointed caretaker chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu State, Dr. Ben Nwoye, on Saturday arrived at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, to a warm reception from party supporters.
A large number of APC members and loyalists gathered at the airport to welcome Dr. Nwoye, chanting solidarity songs and displaying party flags as his convoy made its way out of the terminal.
Dr. Nwoye’s arrival follows his recent appointment as the caretaker chairman of the party in the state — a development expected to shape the direction of the APC ahead of upcoming political activities. He briefly addressed supporters, expressing appreciation for their show of support and pledging to strengthen party unity and grassroots mobilization across the state.
Party officials and other stakeholders present at the airport described his appointment as a strategic move aimed at repositioning the APC in Enugu for greater electoral performance.
