The Enugu State Commissioner for Trade, Investment and Industry, Mrs. Adaora Chukwu, has said that the introduction of business activity enumeration in the State, is aimed at bolstering relations with the business communities and the State Government.

Mrs. Chukwu registered the statement, Monday, while further explaining the rationale behind the initiative, saying it bothers on data collections, for the promotion of private sector business activities.

She emphasized the exercise was not fashioned to frustrate these businesses, but solely to aid the government towards proper planning and provisioning of intervention support to businesses, debunking the impressions that the exercise is channeled towards multiple taxations.

Commissioner Chukwu therefore appeals to private sector operators, to comply with the enumeration exercise.
