BREAKING: Erosion cuts off Amurri Community in Nkanu West LGA

The Executive Chairman of Nkanu West LGA, Hon Uchenna Callistus Ejim has warned road users plying Agbani Amurri road that the Inyi Ikwe bridge (first bridge) has failed.

The Council Boss who immediately commenced remedial works/ precautionary measures to ensure that unsuspecting motorists do not fall into the ditch created by the erosion, called on the road users to be careful as erosion has completely divided the road into two thereby halting vehicular movement in and out of Amurri, in Nkanu West LGA.

According to information filed in by AnchorNews reporters who visited the site of the gully, the Council Chairman, who was accompanied by his Deputy, Chief Hon Oscar Ngene, Hon Supervisor for Works, Hon Ray Nnamani, Town Engineer of the Local Government, Engr Simeon Ugwudike, official of the Town Planning authority, Mr Joel Edeaniagu, Principal Private Secretary, Hon Paul Nwodo, Agbani Divisional Police Officer, Mr Alfred Eya, officials of NEMA/SEMA and local security officials were seen carrying out on-the-spot assessment of the damage.
