Nkanu East LGA stakeholders pay thank you visit to Gov. Ugwuanyi

It was a moment of joy and show of gratitude today at government house Enugu, as the stakeholders of Nkanu East local government area paid a thank you visit to Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi. The event which took place at Lion Building between the hours of 1pm and 3pm was used as an avenue for the people of Nkanu East to appreciate the State governor for the fatherly role he played in the last People's Democratic Party, PDP election, which led to the emergence of their illustrious son, Barr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah as the party's standard bearer.

Addressing the Governor, the leader of the delegation and the chairman of Enugu State Traditional Rulers, HRM Igwe Abel Nwobodo described Ugwuanyi as an epitome of peace and wisdom. He noted that Enugu state is lucky to have a humane and intelligent man as a leader. HRM Igwe Nwobodo who poured encomium on Governor Ugwuanyi on behalf of the people of Nkanu East LGA for giving them an opportunity to develop their council area.

The PDP flag bearer for the 2023 governorship election in Enugu state, Barr. Peter Mbah while thanking the Governor for considering him worthy of succeeding him, assured him and the people of Enugu state that when elected, he shall do his best to move Enugu state forward from where Ugwuanyi would stop. He thanked his co-contestants for the spirit of sportsmanship they exhibited during the contest, and promised to carry everyone along in his incoming government.

Later in his speech, the Enugu state governor expressed happiness over the visit of the delegation. He described Barr. Peter Mbah as a focused and progressive young man who can appreciably move Enugu state forward from where he would leave it.

Some stakeholders who spoke at the occasion include the Executive Chairman of Nkanu East LGA, Hon. Sydney Eden, the Member representing Nkanu East State Constituency in the House of Assembly, Hon. Paul Nnajiofor among others.
