The saying that he whom the gods would kill, they first make mad fits very well into the Surugede dance to which Edeoga capers in the name of contesting the governorship of Enugu State. Some political observers are ill at ease with Edeoga's modus operandi and so think that Edeoga's desperation has driven his ambition to a precipitous end, for even now that Labour Party has no authentic governorship candidate in Enugu State, Edeoga is still parading himself as one in spite of a subsisting judgment to that effect. For a man who has nothing to offer the people, the best thing would have been to shift out of the scene and stop confusing the emotionally wrecked and disgruntled Nsukka labourers who would think to make Chijioke the governor of Nsukka.

Anyone who watched the interview session Edeoga had with TVC News would confirm the fact that Edeoga is not a governorship material. He lacks ideas about governance; he lacks understanding of the working of the economy. In fact, he has nothing to offer. Whether it be in his present mental disposition or deterioration, the fact is that Chijioke Edeoga is not even fit mentally and otherwise to lead a local government much less a state. Recall that Edeoga was also booed at ENCCIMA town hall meeting, recently held in Enugu, where he displayed crass level of ineptitude and poor understanding of economic questions. He and his minions hurriedly left the place in shame.

It was a show of shame yet again at the TVC outing yesterday, 5th December, 2022. Edeoga would not drop his character of telling lies and throwing of diatribes against his opponents. Chijioke Edeoga who failed woefully at the PDP governorship primaries claimed he failed because each delegate was given N400,000 and the local government chairmen manipulated and directed the delegates on whom to vote. Edeoga claimed he had enough evidence to challenge the result in court. Why then did he collapse his support structure( if a structure it was) to Peter Mbah and pledged support to Peter in a press release when he could have gone to court to challenge Peter's victory even with the ostensibly purported larger-than-life evidence at his disposal? Was running to Labour Party, whose ticket he was not and is still not sure of, the best option for someone who is a lawyer and has this humongous evidence of manipulation? Does this claim give out Chijioke Edeoga as someone in his right senses, who knows what he is doing? Couldn't Chijioke have owned up the fact that he could not help it as his in-laws for whom he plays man Friday would rather trade him off as would a ware?

Edeoga also claimed that his ambition was a threat to the elite and the people who did not want things to get better; otherwise, they would not have been fighting him in court through Odengene Airline Limited. Assuming without conceding the elite did not want things to get better as Edeoga claimed, he was part of the elite he condemned and branded "those who didn't want things to get better." What then has changed? Does running to Labour Party make Chijioke different? Do men put old wine in a new wine skin? Who is deceiving who? Odengene that he mentioned so scurrilously is a gentleman who pursues his aspiration legally. He is not as cantankerous and childish as Chijioke. He was unlawfully excluded in the kangaroo primaries that foisted Chijioke on Labour Party. He explored the legal process and got judgment which Edeoga who was not a party to the suit purportedly appealed. PDP is not interested in what happens at the relegated ebb where Labour Party in Enugu State swims in the mud. There is no championship in relegation, and it would amount to the PDP kill a fly with a sledgehammer to meddle in the muddy affairs of Labour Party in Enugu State, a party replete with political goats, rejected and dejected dregs, the lame, blind and the ugly.

Edeoga went on with name-dropping evident of the fact that he wanted to hide under Peter Obi's popularity to hoodwink the Enugu electorate. Meanwhile, Peter Obi has clearly distanced himself from Edeoga. On each occasion Obi came to Enugu, he avoided Chijioke Edeoga as one would a hot iron. He knows that Chijioke is an evil load capable of bending the neck of his candidature, and so had thrown back the evil load to its owner. It is therefore ridiculous that Edeoga would in the TVC News interview talk as though Obi was aware of his political existence.

Edeoga's response to question was all "I-am-going-to" without any roadmap whatsoever. "I am going to address water scarcity in Enugu. There are many ways by which we can get water in Enugu, not depending on one place." Yet Edeoga could not mention one of the many ways.He has no objective. All we hear is PDP this, PDP that. Is that the way to campaign? Peter Mbah, the PDP candidate, had long released his manifesto, and has been explaining it to the people. Peter has no time for diatribes. He is preoccupied with a greater and new Enugu State founded on the consolidation of the Ugwuanyi administration's deliverables upon which he would grow the economy of Enugu State to the astronomical level of $30 billion GDP. Peter speaks the right language of economy and governance, while Edeoga gropes in the dark.

Then Edeoga went full blast megalomania, claiming he brought Governor Ugwuanyi into politics. If he did, no problem. But he has yet to attain Ugwuanyi's status in politics. Politically, Edeoga is a baby before Ugwuanyi. Edeoga was already marooned in political oblivion when Ugwuanyi pulled him out of the dungeon and made him a commissioner in his government, and had allowed him to continue as a commissioner untill, like Lucifer, iniquity was found in him.

Edeoga dwelt 95 percent on PDP without saying anything about his manifesto, if any. He claimed that the said harassment of his person by Senator Chimaroke Nnamani during the primaries on 25th May, 2022 was enough evidence to seek redress in court over the outcome of the PDP gubernatorial election in the state. Why would Edeoga foot-drag in taking action over issues that could have given him the PDP ticket, only to pledge support to Peter Mbah and later migrate to Labour Party? What manner of man is Chijioke Edeoga in whose mouth lies inhabit? The political father Christmas gave it all out in the PDP and now has returned to his stinginess at the Labour Party where he scams unsuspecting simpletons buzzing around him as would flies on faeces.

Chijioke Edeoga also claimed that he did not want to contest again but after the plea and cry of well-meaning Enugu people and Nigeria at large, 'I considered running on Labour Party to rescue Enugu.' Alas! Enugu was one long night of political brinkmanship, until an Edeoga acting on God's behalf joined Labour Party to rescue Enugu. That was before millions of Enugu people and Nigerians trooped to Edeoga's residence to plead and cry to him to help rescue not only Enugu State but also Nigeria. The fact is that Chijioke is not well. He doesn't fall where his carcass could be gathered. This claim is an enough mental test for Edeoga. The psychiatrist should set about his treatment right away.

Edeoga went throwing empty words about how he would do this in education and that in health without the blueprint of how he would get those claims done. He has no idea. He has no financial models whatsoever. How would anyone take Edeoga seriously, even as he is not a candidate in the governorship race?

Everyone who watched Edeoga's interview on TVC News, if they had anything of any consequence on which they anchored Edeoga, would have realized to their chagrin Edeoga is as empty as a barren crag. That TVC News interview was a disaster, a shame to Edeoga and his neophytic handlers and minions. Edeoga had better call it quits now. It is obvious he is not a governorship material. Governor gab'te imi utaba!
