Following the jailbreak in Kuje prison, the Republic of Turkey on July 8, delisted Nigeria from her E-Visa list.
According to a report by ROOTS Tv, this is believed to be as a result of high security alerts that followed the Kuje prison attack, and to prevent criminals who escaped from Kuje maximum security prison on June 5th from gaining entry into Turkey.

Recall that suspected terrorists attacked the prison at the late hours of Tuesday, destroying properties, burning cars and freeing prisoners, including Boko Haram members.
President Mohammadu Buhari and his vice, Prof. Yemi Osinanjo had visited the Kuje prison hours after the terrible attack before flying out of the country for an official assignment. Buhari however assured Nigerians that the perpetrators would be fished out and brought to book.
Meanwhile, a viral video released after the attack on Kuje prison in Abuja, the nation's capital, suggests that the attack was carried out by a terrorist group known as ISWAP.
