The Enugu State government has announced the commencement of physical and online verification of pensioners in the state.

According to a statement released by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, Monday, "all pensioners who served and duly retired from the Enugu State Local Government system" are to present themselves for both physical and online verification, which has started immediately and expected to end on Tuesday, 26th March, 2024.

Prof. Onyia noted that while the online verification commences on Tuesday, 12th March, 2024 through the verification link provided, the date for the commencement of the physical verification will be announced soon.

The statement reads as follow: 

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

TO ALL LOCAL GOVERNMENT PENSIONERS

All Pensioners who served and duly retired from the *Enugu State Local Government* system are hereby directed to present themselves for physical and online verification.

Kindly note that the online verification commences tomorrow, Tuesday, 12th day of March, 2024 and ends Tuesday, 26th day of March, 2024.

As requirements, you are to use your Pension Authority for online registration.

NOTE:

- The date for the physical verification will be announced soon.

- This verification exercise is mandatory.
