...reassures the governor of maximum support in 2023 election

A political support group known as Mmagha Support Group for Gburu Gburu has commended the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for leading a people-oriented administration of the state. The commendation was made when members of the group paid a solidarity visit to Gov. Ugwuanyi at government house, Enugu.

Speaking on behalf of members of the group, the Director General/Founder, Chief (Dr.) Joel Ugwoke (Mmagha), who described Gov. Ugwuanyi as a peaceful and passionate leader, reiterated the resolve of Mmagha Support Group for Gburu Gburu to stand with the administration of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State at all times.

"Your Excellency, we have seen your good works in all part of Enugu State, especially in the areas of urban and rural infrastructural development, human capital development, and ensuring that Enugu State remains the most peaceful state in Nigeria. You have made us proud by providing good leadership, and as a result of this, we are here to reassure you of our renewed contract of maximum support for you at all times", said Ugwoke.

He assured the governor that his group, which according to him, covers the 6 local government areas of Enugu North Senatorial Zone "will replicate what we did in 2019 for all the candidates of People's Democratic Party, PDP in the zone".

Also speaking at the event, the Enugu State Commissioner for Transport, Hon. Peter Andy, stated that he was a former Zonal Director, Contact and Mobilization of Mmagha Support Group before Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi discovered him and made him his Technical Assistant, later Special Assistant, and now a Commissioner. 

Hon. Andy while thanking the governor for carrying the masses along and giving the common man opportunity to serve, assured Ugwuanyi that "there is no cause for alarm in the forthcoming election, because with a formidable group like Mmagha Support Group, victory is assured."

"Your Excellency sir, by the time we begin our campaign, you will confirm that we have the capacity to successfully deliver all PDP candidates in our zone", said Peter Andy.

In his address, the Zonal Coordinator of the Mmagha Support Group for Gburu Gburu 2023, Hon. Ojobo Fidelis JP appreciated the governor for his numerous "legacy projects" in the state, especially in Enugu North Senatorial Zone, and advised him not to panic about 2023 election because "this time around, your good work will speak for you sir". 

Hon. Ojobo, while presented a list of members of Mmagha Support Group for Gburu Gburu 2023 drawn from all the 102 political wards in the zone to the governor, appealed to Gov. Ugwuanyi to empower more members of the group through political appointments and securing permanent state and federal government jobs for them.

In his response, Governor Ugwuanyi appreciated the group for the unalloyed support he enjoyed from them since 2019 till date. He assured them of reciprocating the love and support in his own way.

Also at the event are the Executive Secretary, Christian Pilgrim Welfare Board, Hon. (Barr.) Nestor Ezeme, the Executive Chairman of Uzo Uwani LGA, Hon. Celestine Chukwudi Nnadozie, the 6 local government coordinators of Mmagha Support Group, among others.
