The 2023 election campaign has continued to lay bare the despicable characters of some supposedly political leaders that ab-initio were concealed by their pretentious criminal lifestyle; A case study of Frank Nweke, who is a notorious propagandist that does atrocious things in the dark and come out to deceive the public with fake personality.

The governorship candidate of All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, just like Chijioke Edeoga, Uche Nnaji and other muppets who have been parading themselves as opposition governorship candidates for Enugu State general election has been embarking on campaign of calumny in proxy, while pretending to be innocent before the handful of market women he interact with. Such a shameless hypocrite as Frank Nweke does not deserve to hold a political party's governorship ticket in a sane society. But for the lapses in Nigeria political system that encourage impunity, miscreants camouflage and pose as good men in order to deceive the electorates and seize power without many people realizing it.

Frank Nweke who is from Ozalla ward in Nkanu West LGA realized his high level of unpopularity, unattractiveness and poor electoral value when he visited Ozalla markets for campaign and discovered that almost all the traders in the markets do not know him. With frustration, he had to introduce himself to those who are supposed to be his kinsmen. On several occasions, he'd ask each of them, "do you know me? I am Frank Nweke from Ishi-Ozalla. I am contesting for governor". So shameful and ridiculous.

This is a man who has served as Minister in the federal ministries of Intergovernmental Affairs and Special Projects, Information and National Orientation, Information and Communication and also held other prominent positions in government, yet he could not make any meaningful impact in his immediate community, not to talk of reaching out to distant communities. Frank is popularly known for his greed and selfishness. 

It is on record that throughout the 4 years Frank served as Minister, he could not assist any indigene of Ozalla to secure employment, except his siblings. What a waste of precious opportunity. In fact, his gate was always under lock and villagers were not allowed to see the ingrate while he was in power. Frank Nweke is the owner of Sound City Radio Station, yet he could not employ any of the numerous unemployed youths from his immediate community, Ozalla.

In his usual high-handedness, Frank took advantage of his connection with the state government to impose his uncle on Ishi-Ozalla people to be their traditional ruler, even when it was obvious that majority of the community members do not want his uncle. Since then, the community has not known peace as protests and crises continue to rock Ishi-Ozalla.  

As an sadist who is good at biting the fingers that fed him, the selfish APGA guber candidate has been using his media urchins and e-rats to champion attacks on his mentor, Senator Chimaroke Nnamani who made Frank Nweke his Chief of Staff when Frank went to him to ask for a banking job. Frank, Chijioke Edeoga and Uche Nnaji have nothing to offer in leadership, they lack campaign ideas and therefore resort to sponsoring of fake news against the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP governorship candidate, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah who is obviously going to be the next Governor of Enugu State. The empty APGA guber candidate did not leave out Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi in his hatchet job of character assassination.

Instead of going up and down, disgracing himself, Frank Nweke should bury his face in shame and beg his people for forgiveness. We must begin to judge those aspiring for political offices by their antecedents. Gone are the days when politicians deceive the electorates during election, only to abandon them thereafter. If propaganda is the only tool in the hand of a political office aspirant, then such candidate is empty and corrupt. Frank Nweke is empty and corrupt!
